Once you figure out the world isn't that exciting outside of multiple partner sex , drugs and drinking you need to get to know God. The world bores me. It's too small.

+1. Except I had mine at 42. 40ties were boring and “different” compared to my 20ties and 30ties - then I was a jet setting socialite. I don’t mine though. BTDT when I was young. No desire to relive it now that I am in my 50ties.

Do you work or volunteer? Having real interests outside of Parenthood is key, IMO.

No one gets a babysitter and has serious fun? I don't feel like having a little one means I have to be boring. I enjoy authentic conversations, and a good laugh. When I get invited to stuff with other parents where kids aren't invited it's still boring. Who says being a parent means you have to be dry?

Find a hobby? I've been a pianist for almost 40 years, plus I have a home library containing almost 2,000 books, so I am never bored. I'm disabled?, so I can't work. Life is never boring for me.

It's not the age, it's the stage of life. I had my kids at 39, so my forties have been "boring", although I was never a partier. Now that my youngest is almost 10, I feel like i have my life back somewhat. But little kids means you are going to be son get little kid things for a while.
But also, if you are this antsy and you SAH, go back to work. People who need to work and have small children get their adult-self time at the office, so the non-office time is kid-centric.

It isn't your age, it is motherhood. Yes, you are both bored and boring. When your kids are older it is easier to regain your interests and life.

My 20s were a great time. I was starting an interesting career, was meeting new exciting friends, and went out all the times. As a mom in my 30s life is boring as fuck!!!!! I enjoy motherhood, but socializing outside of my kid seriously is lacking. Why are people with families so fucking boring?!?! I know it won't be like my 20s again, with late night drinking escapades, but isn't there some fun 30s equivalent that doesn't involve kid s or mommy talk. It also seems like everyone in this stage in life is wearing a mask. I'm so over the boring fake ness. Where are the fun people hiding?????
