Country Bear jamboree, and my daughter enjoyed enchanted tales with belle. There are a lot of shows at MK just out in the street and on various stages. You can pick up a time guide when you first enter the park.

Don't miss the festival of fantasy parade! Try to show up along the path about twenty minutes beforehand to get a good view.

The other advantage of two days at MK is you will be able to get 6 different upfront fast passes over the two days (and can get more after you use them). The more fast passes the better with little kids (or for anyone really).

We just got back as well, and I agree. I'd say your nine is year is right at the age where AK gets really fun, with rides like the river rapids, the two Avatar rides and Expedition Everest being highlights. But given your littler ones, I would prioritize two full days at MK instead.

Just back from AK. I would not waste a day with kids that small at AK. My teen enjoyed it but I wish we had done a park hopper because we were done with it quickly and it was definitely not as young-kid friendly as I thought.

Another option is to get tickets where you can see both in the same day. Go to MK the first day. AK the second morning, then rest at the hotel and go back to MK at night. It's worth seeing their new evening light show.

Any top tips for this length of trip? So far in planning we will aim for rope drop both days to get an early ride in with less crowds and fast pass reservations for 10.30 - 11.30 so we can use all three and have a chance of picking up extras. Beyond that I have no idea what is realistic.


FYI, you can only have one FP in each window. So, if your first is at 10:30, the earliest you'll be able to add extras is after the window closes on #3, at 1:30.

I also say two days at MK. You will have PLENTY to do. We just went to AK with two in strollers, and it was the hardest park to navigate with the least to do for small children. The two things we really enjoyed were some unique character meet and greets with short lines (Ballou and King Louie, Doc McStuffins, and Timon from Lion King), and the Lion King show.

That said, we met lots of characters at MK, and there are shows all the time there, right in the street. We had a 5-day ticket, and ended up doing 2 full days at MK, and then going back in the morning on a third day (the day we did AK, in fact), to do a couple of things we hadn't gotten to.

I would say 2 days at MK. AK just does not have as many rides. The shows were good but I still think MK both days. Or you could consider getting the ticket that will let you in to both parks for 1 day and still see the shows in the am or evening.
