OP - my current thought is to do "at home" insemination. Looks like the stats are fairly similar to IUI and logistics are fairly manageable. Just need to get my physician to sign a form and order!

OP - so far the clinics I've talked to will only do monitoring visits. Any procedures would have to involve an appt with a doc, re-testing, consents, etc. so just not practical for a one-off. Arg.

You'd likely have to be an actual patient to do the procedure itself, but most offices would agree to do monitoring for you.

May just have to switch this to a TI cycle if your DH is with you - not all is lost!

Your attempt to be cute and funny fails miserably. In case you hadn’t noticed, this is a forum for folks going through infertility. Go away.

Thank you. Some people can just be complete asses. And to the obnoxious poster, please go f your self and go away.

Hm. I am curious about this too - I have also been successful at having another office so a monitoring appointment, but have never tried for anything else. Sorry I'm not helpful; good luck and report back if you find anything out

Let it go. It’s one cycle and not worth all the trouble of interrupting a vacation. There’s no other answer.

Hi there,

I live in Seattle and my period arrived earlier than expected so of course I've planned to be out of town in DC area when I would need to do an IUI. Has anyone successfully gotten another office to do an IUI? I called Shady Grove and they said they could do the monitoring visit (I've been doing ultrasounds the day before my IUI) but can't do procedures unless you're an actual patient. Boo. I'm considering flying back across the country in the middle of my vacation but that just seems silly. Ideas?
