Yes that is a very good score for a 9th grader.

I was just able to log in and see the score - 1300. Can't make heads or tails of what this means. It's for a 9th grader taking PSAT/NMSQT and seems to be a good score overall, though reading higher than math.

There is a lot of opportunity for growth between the PSAT and the SAT. Don't get discouraged. It is important to develop a plan - a way forward. There are many options that are sensitive to both time and finances. But, remember that PSAT/SAT is only one contribution to the application process. Other contributions include grades, but also a child's readiness.

What percentile is that? My 9th grader got and 1140 (different scale) but was at 94th %ile.

My sophomore got a 1220 and I think it was 93 rd or 94th, so her child is above that. Keep in mind, it was unprepped (and if your DC is like mine, she went with a horrible attitude because I made her take a “practice” test).

They are available on 12/13. Your child can access them through their College Board account then.

If the school is in DC or MD, they posted today (you have to create an account). VA schools post tomorrow. We are a Va family in a DC school. We got the scores this am.

They can sign on though the portal. It think DC scores may be today (we live elsewhere and it goes by state). Check their website.

My DS (9th grade) took PSATs in his private school two months ago. But to date, no results yet. How long does it typically take to get scores? And how do they distribute them? Thanks!
