This is true, but I was surprised to see Broadchurch recently advertising "new episodes," meaning season 3. I was incredibly confused because I'd already watched season 3 on my Netflix account over the summer--then I remembered I'd been in Israel at the time. So not only did my US account work with an Israeli IP address, there was extra content available that disappeared once I was back in the States. Makes me want to run it with a VPN and see exactly what else we're missing.
But no, I'm not canceling over such a small increase. I use Netflix all the time.
