I prefer meeting people in real life.

It is more organic & feels more natural.

Meeting people from a dating website seems 1000x worse than a blind date because of all the complicated logistics involved.

That's my view. It also seems manufactured (online dating) and, as a true romantic, it's hard to feel like there's something special about meeting someone that way.

Newly divorced, early thirties, zero interest in dating online. Had a fun relationship with a man I was introduced to through a mutual friend (bad timing, unfortunately, but we are still friends and hook up occasionally) and have an ongoing long-distance FWB thing going on (which is to say, not much). Anyone have success kicking it old school?
