i think generally any of the year round futsal programs are going to appear better than a outdoor based team that either just enters tournaments or trains once a week during winter season.

the game is very different in terms of finesse and physicality.

I enjoy playing both, but they are very different games. I think futsal is more of a technical skills game, you have to control the ball in a very tight space and since it's all about possession, the outbounds line is almost never your friend. I find that indoor soccer is great because of the walls (in some location), keeps the ball moving but creates unrealistic scenarios for younger kids as they go back outdoors in the spring.

Have a friend whose DC opted for year-round futsal. He's super small, fast, with incredible foot skills. Futsal really suits him.

He enjoys both futsal and soccer, but we may consider investing more time in year-round futsal over travel soccer. I don't know how many others have considered this, but I want to get the best bang for the buck for his development and I see that he gains so much more playing futsal right now.

I am aware of a few programs in the area listed below. Are there any others and does anyone have any feedback on any of these programs?

NPC Futsal
First Touch Futsal
VA United Futsal

Anyone can share experience with NPC or First Touch Futsal?

Thanks.

1. wall vs no wall
2. regular soccer ball vs futsal ball (which has low bounce)
3. turf vs wood floor
