I can ask reviews in different websites I don't see the problem...

Same people won't reply twice and I could discuss with different people with different experiences.

I can park further it's not a problem walking is good.

Beall ends at 3:25. If you come at 3:15, you are likely to find parking even in parking lot. There are plenty of street parking very close to Beall available even at 3:24. Parking is a non-issue if you are flexible with Parking.

CG parent and I don't have much insight into Beall other than I have friends there and they all speak highly of it. Please do not worry about going to Beall.

I have a 6th grader now at JW. The PYP really didn't give her an extra advantage as far as doing IB at JW. Don't worry about that at all.

Hi,

That's what I thought.

Yes I plan to drop him off anyway, walking a bit is not a problem.

Thanks for your review I'm a bit relieved

You can find plenty of street parking even during pick up. You just have to park a bit further. Parking lot often gets full if you go there at 3:20-3:22 PM during the pick up. Last year, it used to have space , but more parents are driving this year. I don't park in parking lot this year unless I am a bit early.

Beall is a fantastic school and your kid will love it. Kids just need few weeks to get adjusted to a new place.

Parking is not great at CG. Why were you parking to drop your child off? There is a drop off loop. The school and playground will not be overcrowded. Great news. Beall has a pretty great reputation but you seem like you are starting with a negative attitude. Please do not do that to your child!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

My child takes the school bus but sometimes I drop them off I never had problems to park, I park on the first right street. You have to walk a bit.

I have some concerns but I keep them for me I don't influence my child it is my feelings and concerns not his.

I haven't been to CG to compare building, but I will add whatever I know.

Based on parents who switched from CG mid way, IB program and MCPS regular curriculum is not too different for elementary schools. For elementary , IB doesn't add much.

Parking shouldn't be a problem if you want to park. I have seen parking being a problem during pick up time and not during the drop off. You can also be in car lane where Beall staff's wait for kids. You don't have to park. I won't recommend picking your 1st grader from the car lane though. Drop off is fine. My son is in first grade and I do it whenever he misses bus in morning.

I can't comment on CG admin, but Beall admin is top class. You will absolutely love admins in Beall.

Beall has two play area. Not sure if you saw both. Also, portables should be gone to make the plat area larger.

We would have preferred to stay at Beall, but we will be going to the new school.

Hi,

Next year we will switch to Beall ES

I had a look on the school from outside it seems older and smaller compared to College Gardens. I did not see big playgrounds like in CG.

Of course we should not judge a school based only on its building but I think an appealing infrastructure is also important.

My child will be in first grade next year can some Beall parents give us some reviews about the school please?

I might have to drive my child to school, parking is it a problem or should we plan to come early?

Not being anymore in Primary years IB program is it a problem if we are back to IB in Julius West and Richard Montgomery?

I don't know if there is a huge difference between IB program and MCPS regular curriculum.

I come from France US school system is new for me.
