The elementary school has a resource officer?
Why did you write, "EVERY SINGLE YEAR"?
Every school has a resource officer. I think one officer may be shared among several elementary schools, but middle and high school have their own assigned officer.
Is this specific to Loudoun? I'm in an elementary (FCPS) and we don't have one.
I guess? I don't know what FCPS does. I live in Loudoun.

A Loudoun Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer was notified by school personnel shortly before 2 p.m. December 1 that a teacher at Sterling Elementary School was possibly intoxicated.
During the course of the investigation it was determined the teacher, Claire M. Bucher 25, of Potomac Falls, was intoxicated and had alcohol in her possession while on school property.
Bucher was charged with drunk in public and possessing or drinking an alcoholic beverage in a public school or on public school grounds during school hours.
Bucher remains held until sober at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
