Plus1- but sadly majority of companies and mostly the smaller ones still do reference check but that being said i was hired by a Fortune 500 company and apparently they never called any of my references. Only did background check that is verified my dates of employment.

Op just list your referencea even though dated- but do let your reference know in advance.

If that's all you have, then it doesn't matter if they are outdated. Use them and hope for the best. A good but old reference is better than nothing.

I’ve started job hunting after being a SAHM for a few years and feel like my references are not recent enough. Does that matter? Some of them are not even related to the field I’m applying for jobs in. Does it look bad to employers or are they really just most interested in hearing you are a good worker, stable person who shows up on time?
