Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation has crates on their list. I donated last week - really easy. You just go to one of their MANY adoption events and set the items by their big, well-marked van. Really quick and easy.

Chewy has amazing customer service. I use them for my dog and cat supplies and they respond quickly and fix anything that isn't perfect.

Amazon did this recently. I had a subscription set up and my dog passed away suddenly. They offered a refund and told me to keep the items. I gave them to the rescue we got our dog from.

From a business perspective, the cost of returning and restocking probably exceeds their profit margin on the products. Amazon does the same thing too for some of my returns.

Wow! I’m going to check them out, although I do love the independent pet store in Westbard. The employees there are fantastic.

I love Chewy. We have dogs and cats and they are fantastic. They even supply our dogs' prescription food. I'm definitely a loyal customer.

Homeless Animal Rescue Team is a favorite of mine (hart90.org) and the Fairfax County Animal Shelter also accepts most things, and often gives donated items to adopters to get them started on supplies for their new friend (which is great, IMO).

They always do that - they are the best.

I called to return 3 items, including a crate. Instead of sending me a return label, they just said to donate the refunded items to the local shelter.
Perhaps it's because I'm a new customer, or the crate is costly to ship back (they offer free returns), but I APPRECIATE IT!
