Ding ding ding, that's correct! She mentioned giving him $800, then $300, then $500 in an earlier episode. Plus, if he comes to America and they get married and divorced, her family / sponsor is still required to financially support him for 10 years (I think she said this in the first episode).

Not sure if it's worth it for him, though, to put up with physical abuse from her.

Did anyone watch "Before the 90 Days"? I hope the producers pulled Darcy aside and asked if she really wanted to leave with Jesse after the final show. He looked like he wanted to punch her during that taping, can't imagine being alone with him.

I think he hit her the night she was staying at his house then left for the hotel. You can see the next morning the side of her mouth is swollen and she keeps her head down with hair hanging over that side.
