Whatever is at the Madison Square Garden theater is usually less ridiculous in price. This year it looks like Elf the Musical.

we saw STOMP for half price. Kids loved it- front row tickets. Not in Midtown though.

School of Rock has $39 rush tickets. My 8 year old DS loved it.

My 7 and 9 year olds really liked Anastasia and School of Rock. I believe both shows are at the TKTS booth rather frequently for usually 50% off (the top ticket prices, so usually you’ll get a ticket for $80, plus fees).
