Tote bags (good ones--LL Bean).

T-shirts, crappy gym bags, hats, notebooks, etc., are all okay, but honestly I'd rather have $10.

Gym bag that's super sturdy with lots of compartments (received while a summer associate at my old firm.) Did not get much when I actually joined the firm. I had to fight for an umbrella. :-/

As an alumni, portable phone charger. It's one of the good ones that's lasted for a few years and you can get two full battery charges out of it.

A baseball cap with the company name - Sentech
We were bought out soon after I got it and the company name disappeared into small business history. I wear it years later in memory of the "good old days."

Travel mug
Soft sided cooler, I use it for picnics at the pool in the summer
Portable battery for charging my phone

Whatever it is, just make sure it's decent quality. I'll take something small, simple, and well-made over a "great idea but falls apart after a month". I once got a pair of earbuds that were horrible, uncomfortable and had terrible sound - what's the point?

Swell bottleand umbrella. I use the Swell bottle for my morning latte, and the umbrella is reasonably sturdy.

Very well made soft sided cooler that was our go to beach cooler for at least a dozen years.

We typically get bags, umbrellas, or mugs. Boring.

I guess the best was a portable charger.

Honestly? A tote bag. It's super sturdy, it has a pocket, it's mostly black and the firm logo is small, and I use it for groceries regularly.

Moleskine notebooks, Contigo coffee traveler, acrylic wine tumbler with lid, once we got a tailgate/camping chair which was a good idea but the quality was kind of crappy.

What is the best work swag that you have ever received? (i.e., free products with your employer's logo or whatever)
