You really need to ask the school. Our FCPS does not allow parents to bring food in. You could probably call the front office, and if they say it's ok, email the teacher to confirm.

Same here at an FCPS elementary. Much easier than cupcakes. Just get all the same kind, especially if you wont be there to pass them out.

Our elementary doesn't allow cupcakes, but the kids are allowed to bring in small non-food items to hand out (e.g., novelty pencils or erasers).

My kids are in FCPS, and they all still take cupcakes. Oldest is in 4th grade. Not everyone does, but enough do that it's not abnormal.
I do ask the teacher each year, both if it's OK and if there are any allergies in the class.

In DS's APS school it is not allowed past 1st grade.
Clearly 2nd grade is when our kids become adults.
I would think most schools allow it in K. I am surprised this wasn't covered at BTS Night
just as the teacher.

Or is this a thing of the past? DS is in K and his birthday is coming up next month. Just wondering what's typical these days? We're in FCPS if that makes a difference.
