Maybe you're just a negative person?

Or a marriage counselor

I'm not either of those things but I meet with at least 6 couples a week, in their homes. There is obvious stress with most of them. The way they speak to each other in front of me, someone they don't know, and the lack of respect shown towards each other is a clear giveaway. The exceptions are always nice to see.

Is he wealthy and trying to date out of his league? If so, chances are 90% she's not genuinely into him and he'll get dumped.

Yes, based on a history of the guy's ambivalence and his behavior at their wedding. She was over the moon happy; he looked like he wanted to escape. It was hard to watch, but they are still together with kids etc. Who knows, maybe I was wrong and I just misread him. But I have never felt that uncomfortable at a wedding.

They sound miserable.

Sometimes you can pick up on things that most the time you don't know what goes on behind closed doors. I have never accurately predicted the demise of any of my friends marriages. However I have noticed some things with minor acquaintances that ended in divorce. Mostly I try to mind my own business and take care of my own family.

If so, was your intuition proved right or did they remain happily together?

I am 100% convinced my long-time colleague's fiancé is not into him. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that realizes it.
