Both of us are very sexually compatible to begin with- both high drive, similar turns on/kinks

Pre-kids- frequency was 7x a week sometimes more

Post-kids- frequency is about 3x a week sometimes more

The frequency could be higher but the quality of the sex is still good. We definitely put more effort into the 3x a week because we have to make it count.

I'm only a little ahead of you - two kids who are 4 and 6, married just shy of ten years. We've had dips in our frequency of sex during pregnancies and surgeries and such, but still at it a few times a week.

Sex? What is that? 53 and 52, kids 17, 13 and 11. Married 19 years. Down to a few times a year. It sucks. Yes we have communicated about it but has not changed.

+1 - I’m 46 and DW is 42. I know I’m lucky as we have lots of sex and it’s typically very hot and sensual.

I do wish for a little variety, for DW to wear more sexy lingerie and for more BJs but I absolutely cannot complain.

Married 25 years. We are 47 & 48 and have 3 kids over the age of 15. Our sex life has had its ups and downs. I am the DW and confess to not being into it when my kids were young. We are really enjoying this phase in our personal lives.

DH here. We've been married over 14 years and have one kid. We're 45-46 and do it about twice a week. We're pretty routine (mostly she doesn't want to try anything else) and do the same 3 positions every time. With that said, the sex is REALLY good and its certainly the highpoint of my week.

Coming up on ten years, two kids, we still have regular hot sex. We are fortunate that our kids are good sleepers, and aren’t overly needy.

I'm the PP, I'm sorry, I wasn't clear about who I was. I was a NP, and I do not have two kids under three years old. I have two pre-teen kids.

We are 23 years into our marriage. 53 and 57, post menopausal for the 53 year old. We have slowed down to 3ish times a month. What slows us down the most is mainly my back pain. Otherwise, the will and ability is there.

We do it 2+ times/week. Married 20 years. Not sure it is anything but boring and routine, however. It is usually as good as our relationship is going.

I'm five years into my marriage with my DH. Two kids three and under. We have a fabulous sex life but I'm worried about it becoming boring/routine etc as I so often see posted here. Anyone in partnerships that defy these trends?
