The new Apple Watch can be worn to swim. But i guess it depends on what you’re looking for—i bought it with the LTE because I am more of a runner and I like having the connectivity as a safety option because I run alone and at night. I also have a few weeks a year that I am on 24/7 call and then I don’t have to take my phone with me when I run (I never do anyway). The service is an extra $10/month on your phone bill and you don’t have to turn on the LTE to use the watch if you don’t like that price tag. I really love this Watch. But if swimming is your primary workout it might be more than you need. I could see it being more helpful for a triathlete.

I'd like to get one for myself for Christmas, the $300 fitbit ionic seems a bit absurd for the price.

Looking for a fitness tracker I don't have to take off when I swim laps.

Thanks!
