+1 year-round. It's right by the boxes and I think it helps with the smell and the litter desiccation process.

We have this problem too. We forget about until the weather gets bad and we have to turn on the heat. Happy to hear from others.

Do air purifiers help with cat pee smells? No matter what we do to combat litter box odors with our two cats, it seems like that always creeps at least into the rest of the basement (where the boxes are). Also I remember before having cats that whenever I visited homes with cats, I could often smell that strong ammonia smell. I never smell that anymore, so I fear I am 'nose blind' to cats now that I live with them and my house smells even worse than I can tell. So, I'm thinking about an air purifier, but I don't know if it will make a difference for that specific issue? I don't need it for the allergen reduction so I want to make sure it's worth it for the money.
