No, it's reasonable. When's the last time you worked a service job, OP? Think you could live in MoCo on less?

Minimum wage jobs are meant to be the entrance into the sales force, not a lifetime profession. Anyone trying to raise a family on minimum wage has made many poor choices in their life.

They're not an entry-level job anymore. Where have you been for the the past ten years? There are many, many adults in their 30s and 40s working these jobs, and it's not always because they're "made poor choices in their lives," you bootstrapping jackass.

If it pays minimum wage then it is entry-level, MORON.

No, that's why I finished high school and went to college. You aren't supposed to live on minimum wage. It's supposed to be a stepping stone.

Next time you go into Giant or Home Depot and you notice that half of the checkout lanes have been replaced with self-serve stations, you will see what a $15 minimum wage looks like in action.

Next time you walk into McDonalds or Starbucks and place your order on an ipad, you will see what a $15 minimum wage looks like in action.

Are people really this stupid?

Why are those bad things? We need more careers and less starter jobs.

Not everyone has the ability, discipline, or interest to get through college. We need working class jobs for high school graduates, and a $15 minimum will kill them.

Omg. Let me guess. You're one of those millennials that thinks you deserve the corner office straight out of college? Because starter jobs ARE WHAT LEAD TO CAREERS.

I think they should be jobs you take in high school or college. Or a part time job for extra money.

If the whole point of the minimum wage is to lift people up, how is eliminating jobs supposed to help??? I guess people really are this stupid.

Not that insane. They're getting rid of a lot of cashiers and replaced them with machines at fast food restaurants. For $15 they better get my McDonalds order right for once.

Not insane; MoCo is just late. DC has already enacted this law. Will VA follow suit?
