This. I swear, the only reason I remember at all is because it's on May 5, and I know I'll never go out for Mexican for an anniversary dinner.

Yes, it's annoying.

No, and I don't care that they don't. They have their own lives and own anniversaries to care about.

Yes - my in-laws and my parents usually send us a card with a check inside.

Yes in-laws always send a card and a check for us to go out to dinner. I think it's a very sweet gesture and I plan to do the same with my DD's some day. My parents however never remember. They do the same on each of our birthdays.

No. Neither did my parents. We don't expect anyone to remember it.

Yep, MIL is better about remembering our anniversary than DH and I are. She's the only one on either side that remembers.

My inlaws mail us a large gift every year. It always seems odd, because we don't really celebrate it, but there are way worse things.

They send us a text. Same with my parents.

We only acknowledge my inlaw's and parent's major anniversaries (and have thrown parties).

I barely remember my own anniversary and I don't expect anyone else to.

My mother in law sends us a check every year telling us to go out to dinner. Apparently her mother in law did the same for her. It's sweet. Kind of weird going out on their dollar for a romantic occasion, but I'm not complaining.

I think the first year both sets of parents said something to us over the phone. When our kids were young, I think they may have offered to babysit for an evening so we could have a night out. But not like a birthday or anything.

Just wondering.
