Subject: How many of you changed your number after a bad breakup?
I've never done this but if it helps you move on do it! Life is too short to be with a guy who doesn't treat you well!

I already changed my phone number and it was SUPER easy. I'm in a new area now. I'm sure I'll only be in contact with old friends through Facebook anyway. It was a hard decision but I think it will help me move on. I can't delete his number because I have memorized it!

I fully support it. for me, I wanted to do NC but I knew that if he called/texted/or emailed Iwould cave and start right back at zero. Since my phone company wouldn't let me just block one person I changed my number. It was the best thing I ever did! I even told myself "he's calling and emailing me all the time, I just don't know it because I blocked him". (whether he was or not, whooooooooooo cares, it helped me move on!)

I broke up with my long distance boyfriend tonight. He couldn't commitment to plans for thanksgiving weekend and I got fed up and broke things off. I should have done this a long time ago. His excuse was that "he's weak and he's sorry he can't give me clarity about travel plans." He's not a native speaker so I don't know what he meant but still. He said something about how he needs to attend a wedding he forgot about the weekend before Thanksgiving. I don't know what happened but I just told him to leave me alone and I am changing my phone number. I don't want to be with someone who doesn't how know to treat me well. I shouldn't have to tell him to make me a priority. I feel so pathetic tonight. I can't believe I wasted so much time with this guy. 3 years and I am almost 30! I had a little too much to drink this evening and I told him he's too old to be acting like this. He had to correct me because I got his age wrong. I told him he's 38 but he's actually 35. Anyway I think it was smart to change my phone number. Now I won't be tempted to contact him.
