+1. And if they don't have a photographer, make sure you take some photos of them to fill the frame.
Otherwise I think just showing up and offering a sincere show of love and support is plenty for a re-marrying parent.

Since he cooks a lot: Gift card to nice cookware store like Williams-Sonoma.
If they go to the theatre or a sport: Season tickets (or just tickets to a certain number of plays or games, if season tickets are too expensive).
If they enjoy movies: Movie theater gift card with a respectable amount on it.
If they're into a hobby of any sort: Gift card to someplace that sells what they would use for that activity but might not spend on themselves. Think about what they enjoy together and key the gift to that. I know a couple that likes to camp; I'd get them an REI gift card. Or a couple that likes wine--wine store. if they both travel like you say, maybe a card from a higher-end luggage store. And so on. You're not limited to restaurants or hotels.

My mother is remarrying. They are having a small party to celebrate. I have no idea what to do about a gift.
I was thinking about gift cards or something like HelloFresh, but her new husband has severe food allergies, and so he prefers to eat at home and cook for himself.
Airfare gift cards and hotel gift cards are out, because he travels for work and has more miles than he can use, and when they vacation, they stay at one of his timeshare resorts.
Any other ideas? I’m at a loss.
