LOL. 8 weeks was the peak of this for us. Hope you get some free time soon

If he's not fussing he's fine, but don't feel you can't cuddle him for fear of the "rules." Cuddle your new baby whenever and for however long you'd like. You are his world.

OP - at this age, just try to put your baby down drowsy but awake occasionally. Don't worry too much about sleep stuff yet.

If you want to hold him for some naps, or snuggle (safely!) for naps, by all means, do it. The time you have to do that is so, so short. Enjoy it!

Their brains need quiet time to digest and consolidate all the stimulation they take in during the day through sight, sound and movement. You are helping your baby's brain develop by leaving him in the crib.

When should it be? His next bottle is probably at 10:30 or 11, would that be better? I mean, he still eats every few hours so what is a "bedtime" anyway? Thigh at night he does tend to go right back to sleep.

When was the last time you had a newborn. OP needs to get some sleep.

I just meant, when they're supposed to be going to bed for the night - they need to learn to put themselves to sleep, not be rocked to sleep and then be transferred to the crib.

Young babies aren't used to bright lights yet. He is probably enjoying the view.

OP here - actually I'm going to bed because he'll be up again in a couple of hours. Or if he sleeps longer because he's not feeling like himself, then all the better. I just worry because he's usually so feisty!
