She also has a fine coating of crumbs because I only ever eat with her attached to me. Enjoy this moment of peace! He’ll need you plenty, don’t worry. Relish the few times when he doesn’t!
Gotta run. I put baby in the rock n play at the beginnjng of this message. You guessed it - waaahhhhhh!

But he fell asleep after his bottle, woke up when I swaddled him, and since i'm trying to institute a bedtime I put him in his crib and he's just laying there, no protest, not a peep, but eyes wide open. I feel like I should pick him up and cuddle him but I know that's a bad habit.
Not a question, I guess. Just looking for a "me too" or a "don't be silly, he's fine."
If he's not fussing he's fine, but don't feel you can't cuddle him for fear of the "rules." Cuddle your new baby whenever and for however long you'd like. You are his world.

Anonymous wrote:Oh my god - who convinced you that cuddling your six WEEK old is a bad habit??? If you want to hold your baby, hold him. But I agree with PP - eat and drink something first.
