I saw it last week and also have a seven year old daughter . Definitely NO.
It was really good though!

My kids loved the movie at those ages so I would definitely consider it, depending on whether your children are likely to sit happily and quietly through the entire thing.

That’s great, but 7 and 10 year olds are not teens.

I brought my 12 year old and wouldn't feel comfortable with younger than that.

I thought it was cleaner than movie. I didn't take my kids but I think it would have been okay. Certainly some mature material though. I think it would have blown past my younger one.

Saw it and there’s a lot of sexually explicit talk and humping (though within a costume), plus some bad language. I have children that age and personally wouldn’t take mine.

I don't think it is age appropriate for either child but especially the 7 year-old. I probably wouldn't even recommend it for a tween. It isn't the language, it is the content. Think about it.

Honestly I wouldn’t. I just showed the film to my 12 year old. The Wash Post article this week interviewed Tina Fey and her husband who also just showed the film to their 12 year old daughter.

I can’t see kids this young enjoying it or understanding what it’s aboit. It not The Lion King or The Sound of Music.

Watch the movie OP and ask yourself if you’d be okay with your daughters sitting there with you. Would they understand the dynamics of high school? Is it appropriate? Or should they be doing what Fey and her husband wanted for their daughter: just to play and not be aware of all that drama.

Mild language in the movie but that is about it.
