WHY isn't your husband setting boundaries?????

This is confusing and high school like but maybe that's because that's how it is in real life. Sorry to hear this OP. What I could get out of it was that ex is getting invited to family events. No. Talk to DH about it then don't engage. Sounds like they're trying to stir sh*t

Both Janet and Kayla are bat shit crazy. You've put up with way more if their crap than I would have. Your DH needs to set Janet straight and if I'm reading this correctly, Jason needs to rip his brother a new one over the birthday party bs.

TL; DR.

I cannot keep track if who is who in this scenario. Janet, Kayla, Jason, Erica...too much drama. Just disengage.

Didn't you post about this once before with Christmas and Kayla? It's so strange. I will say though, marrying a twin is fraught with this kind of crap because often the twin outranks the spouse.

Sounds like Janet might be hot for Kayla.

Janet is my husband's twin sister. She is the mother of the nephew. Janet told Erica that she should invite her parents because Erica was telling Janet she wanted to introduce everyone.

Your husband needs to set his sister straight. You will NEVER be inviting the Ex to anything.

I meant when Janet and I began to have a rocky relationship she became best friends with Kayla*

Ok so my sister in law(Janet)is friends with my husband's ex, Kayla. When I began dating DH, Janet hated Kayla. 5 years later when Janet and I began to have a rocky relationship she became besties with Janet. I didn't have a problem with Kayla as I'm not really a jealous wife. It became pretty clear that Janet was trying to cause conflict with her friendship with Kayla.

Suddenly Kayla was every where. Including the inlaws Christmas. Out of no where Janet tells me I need to get over Kayla being part of the family. We honestly weren't even discussing Kayla and I had never had a problem with Kayla.

Janet continued to push Kayla on us. Janet got pissed because I didn't invite Kayla to my daughters birthday. How dare I hurt Kayla's feelings by not inviting her to my daughter's first birthday. It just kept getting weirder and weirder.

Then Kayla began to date Jason. Jason is Janet's brother in law. Much to Janet's dismay, Jason and Kayla broke up.

For an entire year we didn't hear much about Kayla. Then Jason gets engaged to Erica and guess who's back? That's right, Kayla. Janet invited Kayla to my nephews birthday party. Jason and I were led to believe that Kayla wasn't coming. We were all invited via group text and Kayla responded that she couldn't make it. So erica invited her parents to the party to meet her soon to be family members. The entire time Kayla is baiting her. Subtle but very obvious. I was taking the pictures and I told my father in law to smile for a picture and Kayla hops in the picture. I post all of the pictures and to be polite I added the one of Kayla and father in law. It is now Kayla's profile picture.

I'm hoping Kayla won't be at Christmas festivities but I wouldn't put it past Janet. Am I crazy or is Kayla kind of a shitbag?
