If you use Elmira, you can wander about the house softly singing the Oak Ridge Boys's "Elvira" with the wrong words.

I've had both these colors in my home. When I moved, I used Revere Pewter instead.

I have Elmira White in my kitchen. It's generally pretty nice, but one wall highlights its pink undertones. It doesn't bother me enough to repaint, but it's noticeable certain times of day.

I used Silver Drop and it's a light silvery gray w/o much undertone.

Anyone try Benjamin Moore Classic Gray or Behr Silver Drop?

Edgecomb Grey seemed purple-ish in our house, too.

I went with BM White Sand.

i have edgecomb gray in a hallway kitchen and family room andreeva modern gray from sherwin williams in other rooms. modern gray and edgecomb gray look identical. i don’t see any weird undertones it’s a very rich greige color soft and subtle. if you can’t decide on the color that’s the way to go. if you want something lighter but on thre colder side check out Rhinestone at sherwin williams

We have a light-filled kitchen, and Edgecomb Gray looks really good: a warm gray. Just what I wanted!

I tried edgecomb in our master and hated it. It looked too dark and too purple. We ended up going with white dove.

I have edgecomb gray in a guest bedroom & a different bathroom and it looks nice in both places. I also used it in a previous house & didn’t have weird undertones anywhere.

I have edgecomb gray in my dining room. It is a great neutral color. I don't see any weird undertones yet it is more of a beige than a gray. Very nice. I also have gray owl in my bedroom (someone mentioned this above). It is a beautiful simple gray, no weird undertones either but less beige, more gray. I love both. Gray Owl is my favorite though.

I don't know about those but I have had Abalone for 8 years and I still like it. It might be gray-er though.

I got a sample of Edgecomb thinking I'd like it. Turns out gray owl looked better when I painted on a poster board. Now, if my DH would only start painting.

Yes on the undertones you mentioned on those colors. I would not use either color in a north facing room. We have edgecomb in our den but it's bright with a skylight so I don't see the undertones. It's nice and clean but I didn't find it to be too interesting 2 years later.

I am trying to decide between these two colors. If you have used either of them , how do you like it? Have you noticed any odd undertones ?

Thanks in advance.

PS: I am putting up samples in the room to be painted, so far I only have the Edgecomb up and it seems a little purple at times. I've read the Elmira can seem pink depending on the lighting.
