This is a thing, now? Did your daughter know there would be a cat when she was assigned a roommate? I love cats, but that's a small space.
As for the kittens, that's just crazy.
She was told about 4 weeks before move in. She was told she could absolutely move rooms but she was fine with it and actually started to like the cat! Cat mostly just slept.
