I was packing files into boxes for a departing client and put on the Paula Abdul Pandora station. It was great!

OP here. I'd never heard that one before!

Speaking of cool v lame, the oft-maligned and oft-revered Steely Dan comes to mind. Another old favorite of mine.

We listened to Yacht Rock on Sirius all summer long, and now my kids love Steely Dan. Such good stuff!

I recently heard Santa Monica by Everclear somewhere and it instantly took me back to high school. I've always liked that song.

I've been searching for covers of Sweet Child 'o Mine recently. The Fergie one where she dances like a stripper on Slash is hilarious.

OP here. YES! Some days I still feel very much like this

Let's say pre-2000. I know that isn't particularly old, but whatever.

I've been into the female vocalist ballads recently. I miss the old Mariah Carey, before she started standing around on stage refusing to sing.

Love this live version of Can't Let Go. With Randy Jackson of American Idol on bass
