My DC is having a bad year, too. Feels like a spiral of academic challenges leading to behavior challenges and spiraling round and round and where will it stop? The stress on the whole family is miserable.

I sometimes feel the same way. sometimes when I give details, I change my children's gender or tweak the age or divide up the conflicts into acouple of different posts.

OP many HUGS. Many times I have read things here and though I could have written them. Plus, do you think you are the only one who has struggled with these professionals? Just don't use names and try not to give anything too major away and then vent away.

Even if they don't, careful with your kid's privacy and let me just say I share your frustrations. I would love to rant about a lot of the"professionals" I've been dealing with and basically control my kid's future.

OP -- I totally feel for you. When my child first started in MCPS, I pulled DC out before Thanksgiving! That's how horribly wrong it was going. I came on here and got some advice. But, if you don't feel comfortable sharing here, I hope you can find someone you can share with. Perhaps a therapist, clergy, supportive family... I mentioned family last because they can totally add to your stress over the situation by second guessing you and offering "solutions."

so I can't express my deep, deep frustrations and sadness at what has become a terrible school year. I am frustrated with the school, my kid and life in general. How many local SN professionals do you think read this board? I know at least some because they chime in occasionally.
