It surprises you that entitled nerdy girls can't get dates otherwise?

Quick question and don't want to derail the thread, but ….

is Tinder essentially just for screwing, still? Possibly dinner then a screw? (it was when I started out)

If so, what does alma mater matter?

I'm a 38yo divorced man and have only met cool and attractive women from Tinder, usually with great jobs. I know the women complain about the men on the site, but for me it has worked very well. I don't use it for hookups but for casual first dates to see if there's a match worth pursuing. Have ended up with relationships of 3-6 months as well as some friends.

What’s The League?

Tinder for elites. Or so says the marketing.

I can see why you might object to that, OP. What criteria should she use as a first screen?

I only date guys who went to ivies, so yeah, your friend is definitely not not weird or "ridiculous" to "read that."

I know 100% that education doesn't correlate with intellect, but on a dating app where there are literally thousands of men to wade through, it's a decent enough screen (out of many) for finding someone who matches my own background and what I'm looking for- namely, someone who is able to carry a conversation, someone who has travelled and loves traveling, and someone who appreciates the arts.

I moved 700 miles from my home state/school and joined the alumni association for my school in the new city. I ended up dating another alumni for awhile largely because we had a great time at the sports watch parties together. I married someone who went to my grad school (at a different time) for much the same reason.

Many do. Women look for a resume before anything else.

All's fair on Tinder or any dating site. You're supposed to list the aspects of yourself that you think will make you look most attractive.

It also doesn't take much to strategically list things that will attract a particular kind of person and repel another.

She deserves what she gets.

What school they went to, as one of her criteria when deciding to swipe. I find it ridiculous that anyone actually reads that. Is she weird or do you ladies actually have that as a criteria on online dating?
