Yes those are all options. Ideally we would stay with GF because we love our town and our local friends but they could all work. DS is a good player (he shines on his rec team, I have no idea how he would stack up against other kids. Seems on equal par with his McLean soccer friends) and extremely driven and focused. He just loves the game with a passion and is either kicking a ball, watching soccer on TV or talking about it at all times. When he gets home from practice, he plays more soccer. After games, he stays and kicks the ball around. Just never gets tired and is constantly hustling for the ball.
We are looking for him to be with other kids who take the sport seriously and have a real understanding for the game like he does. For example, he's one of those kids who sees that if teammates are bunched up, he should get open downfield and look for a pass. He's 7 so I don't see that happening much with his teammates. I really hate the idea of traveling around all weekend just for a soccer game but if there is a real difference bt travel and rec we will do it.
He did HP Elite in Chantilly last summer and really enjoyed it so we plan to do that again this winter.
TIA!
