I assume that's a false front for aesthetic purposes. I wouldn't use this exact design anyway; I was posting it for general visual purposes to show what I meant by dual cabinets flanking a single sink. I agree, that would be the world's most useless drawer.

Vote for double sinks

That cabinet design is a little crazy. How the heck would you ever see what's in that drawer near the ceiling?

Not OP, but this is really good.

Gah. OK. Nobody loves this idea as much as I do. Given the feedback, I probably will do dual inset medicine cabinets like 23:49 suggests, assuming there aren't pipes back there. Given how most of our renos have gone so far, however, there probably will be! We've already had that happen once...

Since you specifically ask about re-sale, you definitely need two sinks. Even I, as a single mom, know that I must retain double sinks in my upcoming master bath reno.

Double sinks for sure.

Or something like this...double mirror medicine cabinet?

23:41, I might have enough room to do that, but I don't like it -- it looks off to me for some reason. I think because of the asymmetry.

I'd like one side of built in and a larger sink. I hate double sinks as its more to clean and we never use two.

You need double sinks

Alternatively you could do an entirely separate (and smaller) second vanity

Double sinks

But why can’t you do double sinks with a built in upper just in the center... still not enough room?

Looking ahead to resale: would you rather have a master bath vanity with dual sinks? Or a single sink with upper cabinet built-ins on either side of the sink like so?

I only have enough room along the wall for one or the other, and there's no other place in the bathroom where built-ins would really work.

I'm leaning toward the latter because DH and I never brush our teeth at the same time, and I love having all clutter (except the soap) hidden and off the countertop, so I wouldn't miss the counter space I'd lose with the cabinets.
