Capital City goes K-12. So does EL Haynes. KIPP and Friendship have several campuses each but you can go all the way through in their systems. Some of the Montessori charters got a planning grant to consider at least a middle school but who knows if that will actually happen.

Yep, but there are too many middle schoolers for them to guarantee admission into the high school. They are trying to open a new high school though.

Yes, as long as you reside in the district, you can stay for the duration even if you move. Capital City and EL Haynes go to grade 12. I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Also, some of the immersion schools for elementary (Stokes, DC Bilingual, Yu Ying, Mundo Verdo and LAMB) feed into DC International that goes from 6-12.

Newbie question (and I looked on myschools but didn't quite get a clear answer). If your kid is accepted to a charter school, they get to stay in for the entire duration of that school, as long as you continue to reside in the district (even if you move within the district) - correct? So, if they get in PreK-3, and the school goes through 8, they stay in the entire time, presuming there are no issues. Are there any schools that accept elementary kids and go all the way to grade 12? Thanks. We are looking into school options for next year, and need to also factor in the issue that we will move at some point (small apartment).
