The problem is the Democrats are painting an unfair picture. While Obamacare has helped many people, it has also HURT many responsible, hardworking middle-income people - and left them with ineffective health plans they can barely afford.
Also, don't kid yourselves into thinking Ocare protects against medical bankruptcy. Originally, as part of the sales pitch Obama was putting through, he said the med bankruptcies would be a thing of the past. But when insurance companies were leaving the exchanges due to the expense, Obama (in 2016) quietly inserted a new law that lifted the cap from out-of-network benefits. So if you bought a plan, and then developed a condition that had no in-network specialist (15% of plans are missing key specialists)', you would be SOL even if you paid extra for a plan with out-of-network benefits for added protection!
