For school board, I think O'Grady seems like the least bad option. Webb seems unqualified. Dough just wants APS to implement policies that she is interested in for her family.
Clement's a little cuckoo, but there's no way I'm voting for Eric in-the-pocket-of-affordable-housing Gutshall. I may do a write-in because I can't bring myself to vote for any of the horrendous CB candidates.
O'Grady wasn't my pick in the primary, but she's the best of these 3 in terms of being prepared for the job. Webb has no platform that I can find anywhere, and Dough is focused only on special needs issues. Good and important, but she hasn't articulated a bigger vision or approach to APS's issues.

In your opinion. And you know exactly why O'Grafy (sic) won the primary.
Whatever the reason was, it wasn't because she was the party machine pick they could count on to fall in line and approve whatever they want.

John Vihstadt is a Republican who ran and was elected as an Independent. He has been a voice of reason and intelligence on the County Board. I suggest you give other independents a chance, like McCullough and Webb.

I'm tired of Arlington's failures and the policies that have added to high poverty rates and low school test scores (now they are resorting to gerrymandering to "fix" the schools they've ruined with their policies).
