I'm the same poster you responded to.. I'm not but maybe I should be..? I could certainly see it making sense for some homeowners who opt to do their own lawncare to share/sell some extra of these pricey chemicals for controlling weeds. I bought a bottle of Tenacity and sedgehammer (only did 2 apps, probably only need a couple more) and won't use all of it probably before it expires or becomes less effective.

i've used tenacity and pylex. and I've never been happy with the way it dings the fescue. even at low rates, the fescue still suffers.
honeslty if its a reasonable area. I would use glyphosate. and re seed with new fescue. this is the perfect time of the year to establish a lawn from seed...

Google tenacity. It comes in a small bottle and it says it controls/kills bentgrass. Keep in mind it might take multiple applications not just one. I've used tenacity on a couple hard to kill weeds and it's been great. It also has some pre-emergent properties as well as works as a post emergent selective herbicide on some tough weeds.
It's not cheap, but not expensive either compared to some other chemicals (like Pylex for controlling bermudagrass).
