My teen boys wear Underarmour sweatshirts all winter that go over the head. And yes, they are the idiots wearing shorts all winter! They say the school is really hot - which it is!

My teen boys will wear hoodies until snow appears and then reluctantly wear winter jackets

Mine has a North Face fleece (but silkier feeling) jacket.

I don't know if it's cool or not, but my tween is wearing this fleece from lands end.

My daughter has something similar to this and a zippered fleece hoodie from Old Navy.

I got my son some champion C9 jacket from Target (more waterproof/windbreaker) and a Sherpa fleece hoodie from Lands End. Kid keeps growing so fast now that nothing from last year fits.

Those kids in their shorts in winter look stupid.

If it's a boy, forget it. They won't wear any jacket until it's absolutely freezing. And then, only a sports hoodie at best. I'm waiting to see if the shorts ever go away this winter- DS just started 7th grade. I've heard from several experienced parents that this is the year shorts start almost year round.

Anything fleece

Fashion-clueless mom needs to buy something soon and I have no idea what is cool and practical. Would like something with a zipper. All my ideas have been rejected as too babyish and cute.
