Sorry for the typos. My child is a "student" at Lead.

Visit! There is an entirely new administration this year, and all the elementary teachers say that it's a much improved atmosphere this fall compared to last year.

They struggled with test scores last year I think, but will improve this year with less teacher turnover (and the teachers are all excited to be there this year).

My child is a true LEAD (the elementary on campus) and we plan to stay for middle at this point.

I taught at the adjacent elementary school a few years ago. From what I know, kids perform well for the most part, but teachers burn out quickly and they have high turnover. It seemed to be a better atmosphere than the elementary school. I know teachers there didn't feel like the school serviced kids with IEPs well. Sorry I can't add more, but it's been a bit!

Anyone with a child at KIPP DC Will Academy (middle school) on this board can share their experience and thoughts? What is their curriculum like? I see that their days are longer - 8am to 4pm. Considering this school as one of our options for 7th grade next year.
