I met DH at a house party. My friend was dating his friend - and my friend had told me that her boyfriend invited his cute friend. I opened the door and thougt - oh, this must be the cute friend.

Met at work. I thought, hey, this IT guy is cute.
We're still together 8 years later but unfortunately in retrospect it was, in many ways, poor decision. A good decision in other ways, but man it's tough.

Met him at a Halloween party in a bar about three sheets to the wind, but I distinctly remember how unassuming, non-threatening, not creepy and genuinely nice he was. I thought he was cute and it was such a bonus that he was a genuinely friendly person as well.

After months of communicating online and on the phone my first thought was...wow, even better in person. After 24 hours I realized that IRL was greater than anything imagined and it never changed.

I met my DH in a conference room at work with other new hires for a two day orientation. I thought he was cute but intellectually arrogant and would be fired within a year. It turned out he was the smartest person in the room but we didn't date for three years and I made the first move. First impressions are not always correct!

He was in the university's ROTC program and was on the rugby team.
I'd think that those 2 extracurricular activities would attract decent guys, but every college is different I suppose

Same here. She was wearing tights and was curled up on a couch. Very slinky, and also she was enjoying chatting with people, holding court.

We talked for 3 hours. Next week we had our first date. Have been married 5 years and have a baby. Still in love and it's not boring with him, and he's a great partner everyday.
