April. The UK is at the same latitude as Newfoundland, so it gets dark at 4 pm in the winter.

April is lovely. Spring comes so much earlier over there than it does here (DC). There will be lots of spring flowers, buds, blossoms, etc.

We went last November. It was slightly warmer and slightly rainier than DC in November, but I don't remember it being dark much earlier. We had a great time -- in late November all the holiday stuff was out (Xmas lights at Harrods, skating rink outside the Natural History Museum). It was lovely.

Nonsense. It is London, not the North Pole!

You don't go to London for the weather...

I was there for thanksgiving one year. I don't remember it being dark until 10, but I was in college so maybe I wasn't awake early. Weather was fine. Not particularly rainy.

This says April gets less precipitation than May.

end of April b/c the days will be longer so you get to do more.

In November, the days are so short, and it is dark until like 10 am and starts getting dark again around 3 pm. This really cuts your day short.

Those are our two choices, basically. We don't want to pull the kids out of school and can't go over the summer for various reasons.

So weather wise, which would you choose?

Does it rain a lot there in April?

TIA for any responses!
