Alvord Baker? Also can she try a co-ed group? DS is in a group there and guessing several kids have ADHD. You should call the practice and tell them what you are looking for because the mix in the group really various. One time there might be a few assertive personalities who only want things there way and other times there may be more passive kids who tend to be silly and hyperactive.

OP here - thanks for the Rockville session suggestion! I will check - she had several ASD/ADHD girls in her last group and none of them butted heads with her! Then she goes to school and there are multiple strong personalities and she butts heads- very frustrating and I want to help!

To the PP - I tried our OT once on this and she sort of shrugged - I will circle back. . .

Try the Expressive Therapy Center Saturday morning girls group at 9 AM in Rockville. She might butt heads with my extraverted ADHD/ASD DD.

Try calling up local OT practices. They may have a similar kid that they can set up "playdates" with as opposed to a full social skills group. I have a very similar sounding kid, with similar issues! We're waiting for our OT to pair him up with someone like your DD

We've done one (last year) and one over the summer and have tested a few to find fit. We need a group with a lot of extroverted children with strong opinions. My DD does beautifully with children who need a helping hand, need help entering play, etc. She butts heads with other extremely extroverted and opinionated children.

Any ideas? The last social skills group person said she was amazing, had advanced skills, called her delightful - but again the mix of kids was off - they kids were mostly passive, so she got to be the ring leader . . .again. I feel like when I call they swear they have the perfect group because they want more kids so badly - but I truly want to find one more geared towards this (so am thinking kids with ADHD etc would be a great mix)
