Of course. I'm also aware that a lot of non-fed but fed-adjacent organizations (like my own) follow a federal schedule for convenience.
I am sure you are aware that not every works for the federal government or federal government-adjacent organizations. There are many people in the region who work for other industries who do not get 10 federal holidays off for convenience.
