My observation as an old married lady - women are more likely to stick with a guy and try to make it work, even with doubts or lukewarm feelings. They are much more prone to "talking themselves into" a guy and projecting potential and optimistic feelings onto the relationship. However, my male friends were always all-or-nothing with women. If they were dating someone, but not in love, they were much more likely to break things off or act like an ass until the woman broke it off. However, once the guy found "the one" he was hooked for life. This is why so many women get confused by men who won't commit, or send mixed signals. Honey, he just doesn't want to commit TO YOU. I watched multiple male friends do a total 180 as soon as they found their future wife. Women see every man they date as a potential husband.

Really interesting! My experience with my DH matches up. He's definitly crazy in love with me. Its been 18 years and id say he's much more passionate about me than I for him. If i left him, he undoubtedly would be crushed if we are even in an arguement is eats him to death.

Man here, and on average probably yes. It's like this. 30 percent of men rule the dating world. These men can lose a woman and have 10 waiting in the wings so they bounce back. The other 70 percent struggle and may end with a drought of sex and companionship

Men are much more likely to remarry afterward (searching for a new woman), women are much more likely to remain single, despite having comparatively greater options. Men have been observed to say "I love you" much earlier in a relationship than women. Men will go to work and toil away to have a wife who stays home- you'd be hard pressed to find a woman who would do the reverse.

No. It all depends on the individual.

But your perception is the opposite of what I've seen. Or at least, I see that devastation in men, but it's delayed. Mostly, I see men refuse to face what happened, often for a year or more. They just go on and date others, don't think about it, and then after awhile, it comes back to haunt them and "then" they fall apart.

Seems men often seem much more devastated when a relationship is over.
