Yes, my husband and I started dating a month before he graduated and I was a junior. Over the next few years we had a few break ups, but always made our way back to each other. We married after 5 years when I was 22 and he was 23 with college degrees. We went to separate collages but visited when we could. We just celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary ! It has had it ups and downs, but I could not imagine my life without him. As an earlier pp stated, I have been with him most of my life. We've grown up together and he is my best friend. We have three amazing children that we used to dream about. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him.

I was a high school senior, he was a college freshman (he was my friend's cousin-met at a party). Dated 1 year, got engaged but because neither family thought either of us was "good enough" for each other and both sides were against marriage, we waited until I was 21 & when he grad from college. (BTW, both of us are white, same religion, same socioeconomic backgrounds, etc. etc. so wtf) Anyway,we both worked full-time AND attended college full-time, and helped each other. Parents are all dead many years, but we still joke if we have a disagreement, "You are NOT going to make my parents right!" and "I KNOW you, from when you were a babe in the woods, cut the BS." Happily married 36 years. BUT 21 and 22 back then was very different than now. Even entry level jobs paid money (none of these "you pay tuition for the privilege to work for free internships") and we had health insurance, with no contributions! He attended a private college & did have student loans from his first year, but he could actually afford the payments AND an ok apartment (safe & clean) We paid all of our own bills at 18 (incl buying junk heap cars, tuition, ins. etc) .

Yes! We met and started dating our Junior year at 16. We went to the same local college.

We did break up briefly in college. Not long after, came tapping on my bedroom window late one night, telling me he couldn't stop thinking of me. He left a note on my windshield. I still have it! We were married 8 years later. We had our daughter 2 years later.

We've grown up together. I don't think we would know what to do without each other! We've been there for all the firsts, graduations, career milestones, everything. We've been together longer than we haven't! We are best friends.

NP here. I didn't meet my DH until I was 30, but I just want to say, this is so romantic! Keep the stories coming!

My 65 year old parents are - but they went to a 4 year commuter college in NYC and lived at home, ten blocks from each other.

I am. Met when I was a sophomore... spouse is two years older. Went to college together. We briefly dated others in college, but that didn’t last long.
Parents were very supportive. My father-in-law told my DH that it is the best day’s work he ever did marrying me!!!
Dated 8 years before marrying.
We’ve been married almost 40 years.

Me! Met in middle school but started dating junior year of high school. We went to different colleges and took turns flying to see each other every 2-3 weeks. Parents eventually resigned to our perseverance and we got married in our mid-20s.

I am. We went to the same college by chance but I think that really helped us grow individually and stay together as a couple. Parents are supportive because they are high school sweethearts too.

Yes, I am. We met sophormore year, but didn't start dating until the summer after we graduated high school (so right before freshman year of college). Does that count?

We went to different colleges and would see each other during breaks and during the summer. We went to grad school together and actually lived together during grad school. His parents were totally fine with it but my parents kept encouraging me date others.

We got engaged the the summer between our first and second year of grad school and married the summer after that. Have now been married for 17 years and have two kids. Life is good!

Just curious. I would love to hear the stories of how you made things work through college, when you got married, etc etc. Also - were your parents supportive of this? (for example, my parents were adamant that you had to explore your dating options before settling)
