Either truly loving, calm, and imteresting people who want to help as many others as possible. Yeeeeeea let's relax on the beach and discuss constellations while drinking kombucha.

Or

Fake nice with serious attitude issues based on their personal life circumstances and fact that they are highly intelligent but view others as idiots. They can't relax on the beach and drink kombucha without lecturing you about something, or bringing down the vibe because they are judging others who don't know what kombucha is.

What do these people look like? Either very sexual attractive or homely and ugly. There is no in between.

Ok. Now we really must know which industry you are describing.

Yogis, or sex therapists.

Stiff. Drink too much. Bad in bed. Snobby. Yes, they are lawyers.

I don't usually get deleted as far as I know, but my comment that I thought lawyers are type A was deleted.

I guess it got swept up in deleting the other one that was offensive.

Good looking, articulate, and well-dressed. Thin. Stylish.

Marketing professional. Our "type" (along with PR, which is the other side of the coin) tends to be driven, energetic, but scattered young women with outsize ambition and sex appeal to burn. There's a lot of politics and fake niceness that come along with the field. A mastery of language and communications helps, but only to an extent, because the people we deal with are this way too!

Imteresting is obviously a typo. But I kind of like the ring to it.

I'm bored commuting in on the metro and having fun type-casting my fellow travelers. Help me out - what does the stereotypical employee of your industry look like?

I'll start. I'm in natural resources management.
Stereotypical employee: 50-something year old large balding white guy (occasionally with ponytail), curly mustache, khakis or jeans with a button down and sturdy brown lace up shoes that are slightly dirty.

(I'm none of those things, nor are most of my coworkers, though my boss is, and his bosss is, and I've certainly been at meetings where those people made up 90% of the room).
