How much does it cost?

For those of you who did this at home, did you create a waiver like Bounce U would have or did you just assume if a kid gets hurt that parents won't sue?

I know, I know, but someone brought this up over the weekend at swim, and now we're thinking ....

We have done this for the last 3 years. 3rd, 4th and 5th birthdays.

We always do 2 hours. I have shade for the parents with seating etc and borrow 2 kids little tikes tables to go along with ours so all the kids have a table/seat to sit at when we do pizza/cake.

I also have a sand box, sand table ( literally an under bed storage container with sand in it, balanced on a small table) and a water table. If you dont have actual sand and water tables just get the large storage containers and fill them up. Even this past year where I had kids ages 4-6 there were definitely some that still used these when they took a break from jumping or didnt want to jump at all.

The first 2 years I did a craft activity, I bought cheap frames from Michaels and painted them. Then had the kids put stickers on them or use markers to decorate.
Didnt bother with this this past one though.

2 hours max.

Have snacks + drinks for everyone. Kids get really hungry after nonstop jumping.

How about a few extra backyard toys? Hula hoops. Soccer balls. Bubble wands. Play some music.

That's a lot of kids...
We rent a moonbounce and have family friends over in the AM and school friends over in the afternoon.

The shorter the better. Kids get in fights when they get tired of bouncing for hours on end.

Just did this party. Same ages and same number of kids. Wish I would have kept it at 1.5 hours.

Parties are always 2 hours, but people end up "picking up their kids" and staying for a while.

We usually do a themed party plus moonbounce to get the energy out. One year it was knights, and I had made felt tunics and bought inflatable swords and cardboard shields to decorate and use from Oriental Trading (not great quality, but the kids enjoyed then while it lasted). My husband directed the "battle". The cake was a 3D chocolate castle.

Last year, we had a movie, activities centered around the main character, a similarly-themed pinata, with a cotton candy machine and outdoor games rented from the moonbounce place.

We are planning a bounce house birthday party at our home. The yard is a good size and we have enough room to meet all of the requirements.

It would be about 20-25 kids, 5 and 6 year olds. We are not going to invite siblings so we can keep the chaos down.

How long should the party be? What other activities should we have around? All thoughts and ideas welcome.

thanks!
