Thank you. I was leaning towards the exact direction. The only issue is I do not live anywhere in the area. There are specialist in my area though. I used to live here, and I have missed it so much! Good advice is few and far between around my current location. We do not have cat specialist in the area! Unreal!

You need to see a specialist. Ask for a referral to SouthPaws.

I will look into the radioactive treatment. Surgery is not an option due to his health, and age. Medicine has too many possible side effects. Right now, they only have him on y/d, because it was supposedly caught early based on the level. I would not know; I can not find anything showing normal range. Except for his actual blood work. It is difficult to determine how far out of range is considered 'caught early.' His blood kidney value is a prime example of what I mean, because it has always been my impression that once the blood values are showing out of range the kidney function is considerably less functional. Is this correct?

You can do radioactive iodine treatment, or medication. Talk to your vet about your options. Leaving the hyperthyroidism untreated is not really an option.

I looked at those results and thought kidneys, too. But if your veterinarian is saying hyperthyroidism, I would listen to the vet. Thyroid problems can do all sorts of weird things.

If you don't like/trust your vet get a second opinion.

The veterinarian said hyperthyroidism. Nothing about the kidneys, or the blood count. I don't know how his white blood cell count is not in the normal range? Ideas?

Here is the rest of my post. I could not post the entire post.

The day before yesterday my cat had a seizure. I thought he had an episode of vestibular. However, it happened at the Veterinarian's office, and that is how I found out that it was a seizure. He has been having diarrhea, vomiting, walking on hocks. He has lost exactly 3lbs. Only weighing 6.4lbs. Very thin. I am not sure what to expect from his health, and blood work. I appreciate anyone who knows what might be the cause. Thanks in advance.
His blood work came back this morning. I am waiting for the U/A.

He received a shot of Prednisone, and is now supposed to eat Hills y/d.
Any advice? I am concerned.
