they overpaid in 2003
the fairfax assessments are really accurate in our neighborhood nearby, houses sell very close to the assessment usually. this house is way over assessment.

It's not just 22031. The entirety of Fairfax with some zip codes much worse off.

They should have sold the house as is for 600k - 'Recent $100K+ upgrades include: new roof, siding, remodeled kit, two remodeled baths & new windows.' Then the owners wouldn't be in this pickle.

Yeah, if we're going by zip codes there are homes in 22031 that sold for 649 and 674 both of which with a 1,000 more sqft. Why would anyone buy this house for 839???

I'd say price (given the lower overall early fall prices), the lack of sidewalks, and not much usable yard for families with kids, dogs. How are the neighboring houses? Any eyesores?

I saw this house and thought about putting an offer in, but then saw that it's been on the market for awhile. Any ideas on why this house hasn't sold yet? It's in a really nice neighborhood and the house was beautiful on the inside.
