Just because more people have access to aftercare doesn't necessarily mean it is better. Maybe aftercare is just not easily done in large numbers unless it is handled by an extremely competent provider.

Man, you guys. Give them a chance. It has been TWO DAYS. Provide feedback to the site leadership, and then to the school leadership. Acknowledge that transitions and new relationships will always have some kinks at the beginning. Listen to families who could not access aftercare before because of site capacity limits.

If they don't get better and enough people pull their kids out I'd think the school will not renew their contract for the following year.

It is a business. If you are dissatisfied you have to withdraw and they will lose money. Hopefully then they will improve.

Except withdrawing isn't easy/possible for most people, so they have no incentive to improve. That was the advantage of having a provider run by a parent board.

I know it's early days but my kids have had an extreme negative reaction, crying and complaining of really mean and disorganized behavior.

It is almost as though they hired a company that had ideas on how to improve over the old provider, but that have no idea how to do the very basics.

They hired the old staff, but don't seem interested in learning from them. The kids all know the old staff; the people running the show are the new faces and you would think they would want to take advantage of some of that experience.

It's early, and things like the check out system should get better. It's hard to imagine it getting worse.

Also, what's up with these colored pinnies they have the kids wearing?

The biggest complaints I've heard is that staff don't know where your kid when you go to pick them up.

What are examples of the things you don't like?

Really? The marketing materials raised your expectations?

Not impressed. Hopefully things will become less chaotic in the next few days. With the increased cost and marketing materials folks expect more.

We have been disappointed. I keep telling my boys that things will get better as time goes on. However, I must admit we have been pretty bummed out. How are other families experiences?
